APEDA RCMC Online Registration Process India


RCMC certificate is used as an abbreviation for Registration Cum Membership Certificate issued by Export Promotional Councils or commodity board of India. This certificate is valid for a period of five years and is evidence that the unit is a member and is registered with such issuing council.

Who issues the RCMC License?

RCMC Certificate is issued by Central Government registered Export Promotional Councils or Commodity Boards. In total there are 26 Export Promotional Councils and 9 Commodity Boards authorized to issue the license. These councils and committees represent a different type of products. For example, if a person is involved in the export of agricultural products, he will go for APEDA RCMC online registration.

For the products not covered under such councils and committees, the exporter is required to apply for registration cum membership certificate with the Federation of Indian Export Organization (FIEO).

Who is required to apply for RCMC?

Following person are required to apply for RCMC before initiating any kind of import or export:

1.   Any institution involved in the import or export of any restricted item. 
2.   Any person applying for concessional or any other kind of benefit under foreign trade policy. Such benefits can include duty drawback, duty credit scrip etc.
 
Note: If anyone has acquired a Certificate of Registration under as an exporter of spices then no separate RCMC is required to be applied for.

How to Register for RCMC?

The RCMC registration process is quite simple. One can either register as a Merchant exporter or a Manufacturing Exporter. For registration, a registration application is required to be filed with the concerned export Promotional Council. This application is to be submitted in prescribed Form ANF 2C.

If the exporter of scheduled products fails to register within that time limit due to sufficient cause, such date can be extended only by the authority.
